MAKING A LINKEDIN PROFILE
ℹ️LinkedIn is an essential professional tool for you to learn and build during your high school career. This guide will teach you how to set up a LinkedIn profile and showcase your involvement in Civics Unplugged.
NOTE: If you already have an account and just want to add the CU Fellowship to your "Experiences" list, scroll down to the "Adding your Role at CU" section.
Setting Up An Account
Go to https://www.linkedin.com/home , and click "Join Now" in the top right corner of the webpage.
Enter your email, create a password, and click "Agree & Join".
Enter your First and Last name, and click "Continue".
Enter your country zip code, and pick the nearest location from the drop-down menu.
Next, fill in your most recent job info, which would be the CU Fellowship.

Go to your email and input the verification code sent to you by LinkedIn.
Click "Not Now" and "Skip"
LinkedIn will show you a List of People from CU to connect with. It's up to you if you choose to add them to your network. You can hit "Skip" and do this at a later time if you choose.
Adding a photo to LinkedIn is important. Upload a headshot of just you during this step. If you don't have one, this is a great chance to take some headshots!
Skip the Teammate Search and Job Search prompts
Decide whether or not to download the LinkedIn app
Select some brands to follow! This is a great opportunity to stay up to date in the business world.
Once you're done, hit "Finish" in the Bottom Left Corner
Adding your Role at CU
ℹ️ If you just created an account, click on your name in the top left corner of the LinkedIn home page, scroll down to "Experience" and click the blue plus icon to begin.
